In the previous blog, God’s punishment fell on those left behind after believers in Jesus as Savior and Lord are transported to heaven in the rapture. God makes it clear when the third Super Bowl of judgment is poured out that His judgment is true and fair. The remaining unbelievers who bear the mark of the beast are to be judged for spilling the blood of those who are now watching with God, alive and well in heaven.
Now for the final four Super Bowls:
“The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory” (Rev 16:8-9).
Bodies covered with horribly painful sores now inflicted with scorching by the sun!
End of the bad fork in the road to disobedience; common denominators of disobedience, non-repentance, and judgment:
“The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds” (Rev 16:10-11).
Past warnings have gone on long enough. There is now no turning back on the bad fork in the absence of repentance:
“The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings of the east. And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty” (Rev 16:12-14).
Those left behind on earth still do not realize that they are doomed, as demonic spirits gather armies from far away to amass a giant front in response to the pronouncements of a powerful but false prophet.
The moment has arrived when God’s enemies will encounter a force of unimaginable power:
“’(Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed)’”! And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon (Rev 16:15-16; Mt 24:43; 2 Pet 3:10).
As we have seen recently at Russia’s border with Ukraine, strong empires rally their allies and encamp prior to what could trigger a massive war. Such empires would do well to contemplate the seventh Super Bowl of God:
“The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’ And there were flashes of lightning, lightning, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe” (Rev 16:17-21).
Here in the Denver area, we have seen hail storms with stones the size of baseballs that crashed through windshields and even roofs of cars. The biggest ones likely weighed a pound, or maybe two. Imagine hail damage from stones weighing fifty times more than the worst ever storm. Destruction would be unimaginable.
It is never too early to repent!
God’s judgment of those on the bad fork in the road is not over yet. Hurry back for governments cast as metaphorical prostitutes.
